As I say goodbye to Saitama University, I am filled with gratitude. It is bittersweet to leave such a welcoming workplace.

Over the past semester, I had the privilege of working with around 200 first- and second-year students. It was a great opportunity to put into practice the teaching approaches I had developed over the years, while continuing to grow as an educator.

I always tried to create an active and engaging classroom through peer discussions, group work, presentations, video projects, games, and more. One of the most memorable pieces of feedback I received from my students was that my humour made the classes more enjoyable. Moreover, I was delighted to receive a 92% positive feedback rate in my teaching evaluations.

My sincere thanks go to my amazing supervisor and the administrative staff for creating such a positive environment. Thank you very much for your trust and support!

To my students, I wish you nothing but the best in your studies and future endeavours. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

I will also miss the two-hour, four-transfer commute each way from Chiba to Saitama, and the lunch breaks at our favourite restaurant just across the street.

I will carry these experiences with me as I begin the next chapter of my career. Thank you, Saidai, for everything! I hope our paths will cross again someday.
