In this piece, I dive into dialogues with four Indonesian upper-secondary teachers about their views on climate change and how it is being integrated into the classroom. While they are eager to integrate climate change education into their teaching, there are still significant challenges to overcome particularly around teachers’ limited scientific understanding of the issue and a lack of opportunities for collaborative projects within schools.
I hope this article can help foster a better understanding of teachers’ perspectives and contribute to more effective implementation of climate change education in Indonesia.
